Reactivity:Pig (Sus scrofa; Porcine) UniProt:P00592 Abbreviation:PLA2G1B Alternative Names:MGC119834; MGC119835; PLA2; PLA2A; PPLA2; phosphatidylcholine 2-acylhydrolase|phospholipase A2 group IB Application:ELISA Range:0.45-30 ng/mL Sensitivity:0.11 ng/mL Intra-AssayCV:?3.6% Inter-AssayCV:?8.9% Recovery:0.85 Sample Type:Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids Detection Method:Sandwich Analysis Method??:Quantitive Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PLA2G1B in samples. An antibody specific for PLA2G1B has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyPLA2G1B present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjµgated antibody specific for PLA2G1B is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjµgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PLA2G1B bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Product Overview:Phospholipase A2 catalyzes the release of fatty acids from glycero-3-phosphocholines. The Sequences of pancreatic PLA2 enzymes from a variety of mammals have been reported. One striking feature of these enzymes is their close homology to venom phospholipases of snakes. Other forms of PLA2 have been isolated from brain, liver, lung, spleen, intestine, macrophages, leukocytes, erythrocytes, inflammatory exudates, chondrocytes, and platelets. In analogous cDNA obtained from lung, they also obtained and analyzed the apparently unique gene encoding pancreatic PLA2. Hybridization probes made from 'pancreatic' cDNA hybridized to two distinct genomic fragments of cobra DNA, indicating again a striking homology to one or more counterpart in one variety of snake. Stability:The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calcµLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).
